There were five of us at Cortina on August 29th ... of course we had an ice cream. After a long time and prompt, the table was sprayed with a liquid without wiping. The ice cream was delivered as ordered. We only noticed later on one of the five spoons ... when the yoghurt ice cream was almost eaten, the dark, dried-on mass below was ... What that was, no idea. Disgusting ... Very hygienic. And that in the Corona time. When my son showed the staff the spoon, they were surprised and said that they would bring him a replacement ice cream. A clean spoon was brought in after 5 minutes .... the ice cream unfortunately not after 10 minutes. My son informed the team leader. He was amazed and apologized. He offered us something on the house. We then ordered a coffee. At Cortina's, at least on Saturday afternoon, the left hand didn't know what the right was doing. The employees cannot necessarily do anything about it, the management is to blame. Our conclusion .... no more Cortina ..... and word of mouth is the best advertisement.

For around 20 years I have enjoyed going to Mannheim's Eiscafe Cortina again and again. Better to go to Cortina than to Eiscafe Fontanella across the street, because the staff here are really friendly and take great care of their customers. Admittedly, the look of the ice cream creations has changed over time, but not the quality. At least I didn't notice it and ice cream at Cortina still tastes like it did back then - perfect! Selected fruits in the Eisbächer also indicate the very good quality of the product. Remains for me No.1 among ice cream parlors in MA.

Was once a very good ice cream parlor. But it has since declined significantly. The taste of the ice cream and the coffee is only mediocre. The prices have adjusted to the neighbor Fontanella. There are now better and cheaper ice cream parlors in the city center.

Still my favorite gelato, but the prices are rising and the portions seem smaller. On a regular basis, I'll have a chocolate shake at Vittoria's instead of my standard Schokobecher at Corrina, which I now reserve for special occasions - like taking my wife out on Sunday to talk and people-watch.

2 stars for the friendliness at the counter but otherwise I would have given only one star. The ice cream doesn't taste good and unfortunately I found a hair in it today. That spoiled my appetite. What a shame...

Employees who read about customers in Italian, are rude, annoyed and rude. Lemon ice cream that tastes bitter and the ice cream at the table is more expensive than the ice cream to go (without having been made aware of it). How can you do so much wrong all at once? Fortunately, there are alternatives! Conclusion: expensive, not worth mentioning special quality, communication among employees loud, rude to customers.

You wait ages for a waiter to arrive. We even watched 2 guests leave because the wait is far too long. We even had to ask the waiters again. The portions are small. And the price for it is extremely high. 2 small scoops of ice cream for 4.70 euros. Price performance ratio is underground. The tables are not disinfected when guests change. In addition, the safety distances cannot really be maintained here. Which is highly irresponsible in the current corona situation.

€ 12 for two iced coffees that tasted like all sows. I have lost the desire for iced coffee. Absolutely not recommendable!

No question one of the first addresses in Mannheim to enjoy a cozy and very good ice cream or one or the other coffee. The service is very friendly and attentive! Who settles here may bring some time! Only then can you enjoy it all! A recommendation for all those who need a short break in the hectic metropolis! The prices are adapted to the quality!

Full of failure - in the middle of Mannheim ...

The ice cream is delicious, BUT the staff is impossible. I understand that they are popular and always full, but that's why you do not have to throw out paying customers when they finish eating. My girlfriend and I got big sundaes and when we were done we wanted to sit a little bit more. We were then asked relatively rudely by the service to pay and make room. Never again. Not recommendable. You do not have to support something like that.

Prices: Above average, you definitely pay for the location. Spaghetti ice cream barely 8 € at manageable portion size. ice quality: Well. Vanilla ice cream had the black particles typical of natural vanilla. Staff: Attentive and friendly. Enough staff to cover all tables. The atmosphere: Pretty loud, due to the location but as expected. Miscellaneous: Order was initially forgotten, thereby considerable waiting time. Conclusion: high prices, long wait but delicious ice cream. 3.5

The atmosphere is nice, big seating area but the service was quite rude to me when they saw me eating a croissant (from another bakery) which I shouldn’t be eating at their place! Excuse me? I ordered ice cream from you guys and and now I can’t eat a croissant? That’s pathetic German BS rules - chill!

Staff is very friendly, my mom somehow became "best friends" of them :D

Horrible service. We bought ice-cream and then decided to stay and eat it inside as the weather was not good. The restaurant was half-empty and we took one of the tables. A waitress then came and told us that we had to leave the place as we bought only to-go ice cream. Haven’t seen this attitude anywhere in Germany before. NOT RECOMMENDED.
